Finn Bruce runs Smart Render Media out of Kimberley, BC. Mountains on three sides, weather that changes its mind hourly, and a lot of people doing things worth pointing a camera at.
The company works across the whole range — camera, gimbal, 360 and aerial. That breadth started as necessity in a small town, where the job is rarely just one thing, and turned into the way we prefer to work: a lean crew on site, one plan, and a set of deliverables that actually match each other because one team made all of them.
Shooting, directing, editing and grading all happen in-house. The people you meet on the first call are the people finishing the film.
What we care about
Sound as much as picture. Real light. Cuts that let a moment land instead of rushing past it. Work that still reads with the volume off.
Who we work with
Independent brands, resorts and tourism operators, athletes, couples, builders and anyone with something worth recording properly. Budgets vary; the care doesn’t.
The best frame is usually the one nobody realised was being shot.
